Robert P. George

Robert P. George is the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University, where he directs the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions. He has served on the President’s Council on Bioethics, has written numerous books on civics, the natural law, and the Constitution, and has been described by the New York Times as “this country’s most influential conservative Christian thinker.” In 2003, he helped found The Witherspoon Institute, an independent research center in Princeton, NJ, which studies the application of the principles of republican government and ordered liberty to contemporary social, ethical, and technological problems, and which publishes a yearly report in cooperation with The New Atlantis on ethical and policy issues related to the human life sciences.
